Citing PDAF

PDAF is developed by researchers. Thus, when you publish work obtained using the software, we expect that you follow common scientific practice and cite PDAF. Citations enable us to show that the resources in the continued development of PDAF are well invested.

For common reference for PDAF is

  • Lars Nerger and Wolfgang Hiller, Software for Ensemble-based Data Assimilation Systems - Implementation Strategies and Scalability. Computers and Geosciences, 55 (2013) 110-118

We appreciate if you also cite the paper discussing the filter algorithm you applied (see the list of assimilation methods in PDAF).

To directly cite the software PDAF, you can cite the release package at Zenodo:

We also enjoy to hear from you when you publish work using PDAF (See Imprint for contact information.) We have a list a publications by PDAF users and adding your publication is easiest when you notify us about it.
