PDAF at the EGU General Assembly 2019

The research group developing PDAF will be present at the EGU General Assembly from April 8 to 12, 2019 in Vienna, Austria.

Members of the group give following presentations:

Short Course

SC1.1: Data assimilation in the geosciences - Practical data assimilation with the Parallel Data Assimilation Framework
Convener: Lars Nerger | Co-conveners: Maria Broadbridge, Gernot Geppert, Peter Jan van Leeuwen Thursday, 11 April, 14:00 - 15:45, Room -2.85

In this Short Course we provide an overview of ensemble data assimilation and how to apply it using PDAF.
Planned program:

  • 14:00 - 14:40 Introduction to Ensemble Data Assimilation
  • 14:40 - 15:00 Implementation Concept of PDAF
  • 15:00 - 15:45 Hands-on example: Build an Assimilation System with PDAF

For the hands-on example we will provide a tutorial version of PDAF that will be downloadable without registration. The download link will be announced during the short course.
