PDAFomi_set_inno_omit_ivar
This page documents the routine PDAFomi_set_inno_omit_ivar
of PDAF. The routine was introduced by PDAF version 2.3.1.
The routine sets thisobs%inno_omit_ivar
. It avoids to directly initialize elements of the data type thisobs
in the code, which can be problematic in some programming languages.
For details on thisobs%inno_omit_ivar
see the description on omitting observations that are potential outliers.
The interface is:
SUBROUTINE PDAFomi_set_inno_omit_ivar(thisobs, inno_omit_ivar) TYPE(obs_f), INTENT(inout) :: thisobs ! Observation type REAL, INTENT(in) :: inno_omit_ivar ! Inverse variance set for omitted observations ! this should be much smaller that the actual inverse observation error variance
Note:
- When using Fortran, one can also initialize
thisobs%inno_omit_ivar
directly
